The Turbine 10

The Turbine 10 is a new undulating 10K course around Baillie Wind Farm, near Thurso, to mark the site's inauguration. As the first and only course around a wind farm in the Scottish Highlands, this is a one of a kind running event. On the route runners will get up close to many of the site's 110m turbines while enjoying stunning 360 degree panoramic views of Caithness and the Orkney Islands. The event also includes a 4K Fun Run/ Walk around the wind farm's perimeter track. In celebration of the site's opening all proceeds from race entries will be donated to our official race charities: Moray Firth Radio ‘Cash for Kids’ appeal; the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland(CHAS) and the North Highland Cancer Information and Support Centre, based in Thurso.
