Starting at Rowardennan Lodge, the approximately 10 mile walk /run will take in sights including Loch Lomond, Ben Lomond, and Loch Arklet. This is followed by a 34 mile cycle which starts at the change over point at Inversnaid. We head along Loch Arklet, within the National Park, and the head south-east to Aberfoyle. From here we avoid the main road, heading south to Drymen and then along the coast of Loch Lomond before finishing back at Rowardennan Lodge for some refreshments and chance to join in with the showcase event.
The challenge can be tackled as part of a team or as an individual with participants aiming to raise funds to help support SYHA's youth activity programmes for disadvantaged young people.
Approximate timings for the day of the event would be: 7.30am onwards Bikes and bags able to be dropped off at Drymen 8am to 9am Registration at Rowardennan Lodge 9.45am Event briefing 10am Event starts 1.30pm First finishers begin to arrive back at Rowardennan Lodge 5.30pm Final finishers arrive back at Rowardennan Lodge
