Run The Blades Half Marathon & 50K Ultra

Run the Blades is a two-day trail running festival taking place on the 17th and 18th July 2018. The event incorporates three distances: a 10K on the Friday evening, and a half marathon and 50K ultra on the Saturday.

The choice of three race distances makes Run the Blades accessible to all runners, whatever your experience or fitness level. The conditions offer an ideal step up from road to trail, with hard packed yet challenging terrain. Whether you’re looking to record a new personal best, or you’re keen to sign up for your first trail run, look no further.

The unique routes are located exclusively within Whitelee Wind Farm, the UK’s largest onshore wind farm, just south of Glasgow. The picturesque landscape boasts mixed moorland and trees, intertwined with wind turbines that tower above the trail.

The 50K Ultra bridges the gap between marathon and the longer ultras? The original Run the Blades length offers competitors the opportunity to step up from road marathon to ultra trail running.

So you’ve bagged a few 10Ks but don’t fancy the big dunter just yet? Then the Half Marathon is the race for you. The perfect distance to raise money for your favourite charity
