Illuminator Night Trail Race

Go wild through the night on Scotland’s toughest night trail race. Run 15 miles (18+ only), 15km or 8km over rugged hill trails with just the glow of your head torch to lead the way. See the natural beauty of Glen Tanar’s ancient Scots pine forest in a spectacular new light.

Not a runner? Never mind - walk our 15km or 8km route, our brand new additions for 2019! The 8km distance is also open to young people from 14 years onwards. The 15km distance is open to anyone from the age of 16. The course is clearly waymarked and there will be a food & hot drinks station with stunning light effects at the halfway point.

Braemar Mountain Rescue Association is our nominated charity partner. Pledge places are available – please see website The rescue team will also be at the event to provide additional safety support to all participants in partnership with our professional staff and first aid teams.
