60th Anniversary Sub4 Mile Markinch Miracle 1M Road Race

This special 1 mile road race celebrates the 60th anniversary of the first sub 4 minute mile on the 6th May 1954 by Roger Bannister. General Course Information: The race will be held on a quiet cycle path and part road point to point downhill course from Balgonie road next to Markinch train station to Sappi road. This 1 Mile race takes place on a fast gradual downhill course starting close to Markinch Railway Station and finishing on Sappi road. Date: Tuesday 6th May 2014 Time: 19:30 pm Parking: At Markinch Railway Station car park next to the John Haig Whisky building. There will be no parking available at the finish or on the course. Lead bike and Baggage transfer: There will be a lead bike and transfer of baggage/clothes to the finish area. A numbered bag matching race number will be issued at registration for use if needed by runner. Registration: Outside Markinch Railway Station from 18:00 pm. Pick up your allocated race number on the night from the registration point. NO ENTRY ON NIGHT !! ONLINE ENTRY ONLY !!
