Yoga For Runners

A new yoga for runners course will be starting soon at Balance, Glasgow's first yoga centre, with a specialist course to help runners stretch and strengthen the muscles most used for running, as well as teaching runners some breathing techniques to help them run faster and longer.

The classes will be taught by Eileen McCann on Friday evenings from 18:00 to 19:00 and will come in a six or seven week block. The classes aim to help runners resist injury and will introduce students to a variety of yoga poses designed to help their needs.

The first block will start on September 24, running until October 29 for £48 and there will be a seven week block beginning on November 5 for £56. Students can either pay up front or drop in weekly for a price of £8 per session. No previous yoga experience is necessary. For more information, visit balance.co.uk.
