The Scottish Running Calendar continues to be affected by bad weather conditions, even as we move into Spring. This weekend's Edinburgh parkrun events have had to be cancelled due to Tuesday's storm damage to part of the course.
Special events had been planned for this Easter weekend, with a timed 5K run on Saturday April 3 and an Easter Sunday special 10K event on Sunday April 4. Parkrun organisers hope to reschedule the 10K for another date.
Council officials will assess the damage to the course at the promenade in Crammond/Silverknowes, and organisers are currently looking into possible alternative routes. For updates on this, keep an eye on the Edinburgh parkrun website.
