The Team GB marathon line-up for the London 2012 Olympic Games is complete after two further names were added following on Sunday's Virgin London Marathon. UKA and the British Olympic Association have announced that Claire Hallissey and Dave Webb are officially selected, joining fellow marathon runners Scott Overall, Paula Radcliffe and Mara Yamauchi who were selected as members of Team GB for London 2012 last December.
Hallissey was the highest placed British female in the Virgin London Marathon, finishing 11th in a personal best time of 2:27:44. It was the second time the 29-year-old had achieved the A qualifying standard inside 2:31:00.
Webb did not run in the London Marathon but with no British male running bettering the Olympic qualification time of 2:12:00, his impressive 15th place finish at the 2011 World Athletics Championships in a time of 2:15:48 was taken in account.
