Ballotted entries for the world's biggest triathlon will close within the week. The London Triathlon has partnered with Virgin Active Health Clubs for 2011 and will hoping to exceed the record-breaking 13,000 who entered last year's race.
There are varying distances and disciplines to tackle. Entrants can take on the challenge as a team by dividing the swim, cycle, run legs or as individuals they can chose to tackle the super sprint distance (400m swim, 10k bike, 2.5k run), sprint distance (800m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) or Olympic distance (1.5k swim, 40k cycle, 10k run).
The race largely takes place in and around London Docklands areas. The race regularly attracts celebrity entrants with Formula One racer Jenson Button and ITV presenter Vernon Kay amongst last year's finishers. Entry to the ballot closes Monday 31st January.
