The Tom Scott Memorial Road Races will return on Sunday 10 April, with the 10 Mile Race and Round the Loch 6K taking place over a flat, picturesque route at Strathclyde Park in Motherwell.
The 10 Mile Race hosts the Scottish 10 Mile Championships, guaranteeing a high entry among club runners, though equally runners of all abilities will be looking to take the step up from 10k or use the race as a stepping stone for a summer half or full marathon. The course is notorious for excellent times, so a PB is a very distinct possibility.
The Round the Loch is a firm favourite, with runners eager to take on the 6k challenge. The challenge is whatever you want to make it, whether it be to earn one of the prizes, to gain a PB over an unusual distance or to complete the run with friends and family.
On-course water refreshments will be available, as will a post-run snack at the finish before the leading athletes are presented with their awards at the presentation. Each runner will also receive their own memento to mark the occasion.
All runners can look forward to a friendly atmosphere in one of the Central Belt of Scotland’s most scenic spots for what should be a great day in the park!
