Ten In Tiree

The Isle of Tiree

For something that little bit smaller and a little bit different, why not sign up for one of the events in this year's Tiree 10K race day on May 30? The fun-filled day involves a 10K Run and Walk, a Power Push for parents and toddlers, an Under 16s Run and a Family Fun Run. The day finishes off with a Fun Run Family Dance with live music from Trail West.

The 10K follows a new course this year, starting on Sorobaidh Beach and making its way to Hynish. The route is described as twitsty and undulating with spectacular scenery out to the sea and towards Mull. With race organisers warning runners to watch out for cattle grids, soft sand and uneven ground, the Tiree 10K will certainly be a race like no other!

The evening entertainment will raise funds for the Tiree Windsurf Club and organisers are urging people to come along, dance, relax and meet some new people. With the promise of some 'amazing' raffle prizes, it is sure to end the day on a high.

Information is available for all visitors to Tiree on the Tiree tourism website, and runners can find out more about the races from Tiree Fitness, who help to fund the event.
