The upcoming Tales of Adventure event is shaping up nicely with organisers announcing the confirmation of the third and final guest speaker for their inaugural session on Thursday, May 17. Glasgow-born Don Lennox, best known for rowing the Atlantic and running 3,100 miles across the United States, will join Martin Myers and Stuart Doyle.
Taking place at the Beehive Inn in Edinburgh's Grassmarket, the opening session will see the three endurance athletes deliver talks about their own tales of adventure. Don will be talking about his remarkable feats over the past few years, including setting a new record for rowing across the Atlantic.
Martin Myers, aka the Kilted Runner, will be discussing his achievements in running and focusing on his successful completion of the notoriously challenging Marathon des Sables, where he spent six days covering 151 miles. The other speaker, Stuart Doyle, will be talking about his gruelling 2011, 3,000 mile cycle from Athens to Edinburgh.
