The Supernova Run series launched in Scotland last night (Saturday, 7 November) and saw thousands of runners kitted out in fancy dress and colourful clothing to embark on a nighttime 5k run around the dramatic Kelpies at Helix Park, Falkirk.
A timed run, the event catered for all different ages and abilities with many groups of family and friends deciding to walk around the course taking in the unique setting.
Event director Sandra Scott said: “The first Supernova Run in Scotland was a huge success. It was fantastic to bring such a unique event to an iconic Scottish landmark and watch over 2,000 runners have an enjoyable time with their family and friends, whilst completing a 5k!
“The beauty of this event is that it can cater for all abilities - runners can decide their own speed, or if they just want to stroll around with their family, taking everything in as they do so.
