Stranraer Half Marathon returns to the south west of Scotland on Saturday 4 March 2017. The scenic, undulating route takes in parts of the countryside and coastal town. Starting and finishing at the local secondary school, the first few miles take you through Stranraer before heading into the countryside where water stops and stewards will be on hand to guide and cheer you on.
The secondary school, which is both the registration and presentation area, has shower, parking, changing and café provisions. Parking is easy to find and will be sign-posted off the A77 and A75.
The race is suitable for all abilities and has seen some excellent PBs as well as course records through the years. As well as the main half marathon, there is an event for every age and ability with junior races, a 4-mile fun run and a half marathon for walkers, held throughout the day.
