There's still time to enter this year's Paisley Vision 10K, which takes place on Sunday (26 August) alongside a 3k fun run but runners only have until noon tomorrow (24 August) to register for both events. There are no entries on the morning of the 10k/fun run.
The 10k course is noted for being flat and fast, and takes competitors through the historic town centre, along Paisley canal and Kilmacolm cycle track. St Mirren manager, Danny Lennon, will be taking part alongside two of his players - former Scotland international, Gary Teale, and goalkeeper Grant Adam.
Danny said: "Paisley 10K is one of the main events in the local sporting calendar and this year's event is shaping up to be the best yet. The Olympic heroes we've seen on TV really have been an inspiration to us all and there's never been a better time to get involved in sport and register for the 10k or 3k fun run."
The 10k starts at 10am in County Square, in Paisley town centre, and the fun run starts at 12.15pm. The entry fee for the 10k is £18 and there is a group discount where one free entry is offered for every five paying entries when registering online. The fun run costs £8 for adults and £6 for children under 16. The adult and child discount offers a joint entry for £12.
