Still Time For McCover Half

McCover Half MarathonThere is still time to enter the Neil McCover Memorial Half Marathon in Kirkintilloch on Sunday (4 October). Deadlines close tomorrow (2 October) at midnight.

Bright weather conditions are expected to greet runners at the event. The scenic and fast route takes participants through East Dunbartonshire, including Milton of Campsie, Lennoxtown, Torrance and Lenzie. The course is similar to the Luddon Half Marathon, held in the 1980s and 1990s.
The race is held in memory of Neil McCover, an athlete, club chair, membership secretary and junior coach at Kirkintilloch Olympians who was tragically killed in a cycling accident in 2010. He was also a Superintendent in Strathclyde police and a leading member of the police athletics team.
Entrants should aim to complete the course in under 2.5 hours; marshals may be withdrawn after that time. You can enter the race at Entry Central
