Staying Alive Offers Free Edinburgh Running Tour

Fancy a guided tour of Edinburgh with a difference? Staying Alive Running Club is offering the chance to go on a free running tour of the city during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The run will follow in the footsteps of the torch bearers from the recent Olympic Torch relay in the capital.

Staying Alive has designed the tour to appeal to both locals and tourists and it involves a three mile run of Edinburgh at a gentle pace (able to speak), with four Staying Alive Running Club tour guides, a minimum of 16 points of interest, your personal belongings safely transported from start to finish, and the option of having a social drink afterwards.

The Staying Alive Running Club is not about speed, distance or time, it's about running, socialising and staying alive, so the tour will suit all levels of running ability. If you're thinking about taking part, the meeting place is the Royal Commonwealth Pool.

The dates are Wednesdays: 8, 15, 22 and 29 August at 7.00pm; and Sundays: 12, 19, 26 August and 2 September at 11.00am
