The Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon has announced Spire Murrayfield Hospital as its official Health and Wellbeing Partner to help promote health and fitness in the city and get runners in top shape for rocking the big event on 29 June. Over 1,300 runners have already signed up to enjoy a route offering breath-taking views of the city interspersed with live bands.
To launch the partnership, Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon and Spire Murrayfield Hospital have introduced the Spire Healthcare ‘Pledge Your Miles’ competition offering runners the chance to win a free Pre & Post Training Fitness Assessment from Spire Healthcare worth over £400 to be used anytime during 2014.
To be in with a chance of winning, competitors must pledge how many miles they are going to run before Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh using this link. The winner will be selected at random and announced on 17 February 2014.
Event director, Mike James, said of the partnership: “We’re excited to have teamed up with the Spire Murrayfield Hospital this year to offer participants all the training tips they will need in the run up to the race. So far we’ve had a whole host of runners sign up from locals to competitors from as far away as Australia and we can’t wait to meet them all at the start line."
