The nominations have been cast and jogscotland has announced the names of those who are in contention for the prestigious prize at their annual awards dinner. A shortlist of three nominees has been selected in three separate categories, with the awards presented on 29 October.
Organised as part of scottishathletics Annual Awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow, with many of Scotland’s Olympic and Paralympic stars set to be in attendance. The event will recognise those who have been outstanding in the categories of Achiever, Leader, and Group of the Year.
Head of jogscotland Billy Mitchell said: “It’s always a real privilege to read the nominations for our annual awards, because they contain so many wonderful stories of achievement, friendship, courage and community. These stories come in from right across the country, and sum up so much of what makes us all proud to be a part of jogscotland.
“Everyone who was nominated can feel deservedly proud, but those who made it onto the shortlists struck us as outstanding examples of individuals or groups who exemplify the very best of jogscotland.”
