Swiss sportswear manufacturer Odlo has launched a competition to find the most inspirational running stories from the public. The retailer is offering a unique training day with one of its star athletes - distance runners Ingalena Heuck, Sören Ludolph and Tanja Eberhart are all possibilities - for the top five inspirational tales they receive.
To enter the competition, Odlo is wanting runners to submit a moment when you crossed the finish line of a marathon, a moment of intense rivalry, or a moment when running by yourself in nature. The story can be a picture, a video clip, or short description of no more than 150 words.
Judging the competition will be Odlo athlete Stefaan Engels, aka 'the Marathon Man' - he ran a marathon every day in 2010 - and product manager Roberta Lazzaroto. The competition runs until mid-May. Lazzaroto said of the entries: "We are not judging how you write. Rather, we want to hear about those runs that stay in the memory long after the warm glow of satisfaction has passed."
The prize will include return flights to where the athletes are based, one nights stay in a hotel and a set of Odlo running gear. For more information on how to enter, visit the Odlo website.
