With this year marking the 30th anniversary of the Polaroid 10K Road Race series, two retro-themed events are being organised to help runners prepare for the new Vale of Leven 10K route. The Polaroid 'Retro'Vale 10K Training Runs will be held in Balloch Country Park on Sunday 15 and 22 May.
Runners who have previously taken part in the Polaroid Series are encouraged to wear a Polaroid running top from yesteryear (the older the better).
The 10k route will start and finish in the Moss O’Balloch. Participants are asked to appear for 9.45am for an event briefing with a start time of 10.00am. The event will be classed as a training run for runners of mixed abilities. So running with a friend is advisable to ensure safety for all concerned.
The route will be supported with some limited signage and marshalling, but extra care must be taken by all participants at various open crossing points along the route for pedestrians and vehicles.
