With New Year's fitness resolutions being put into practice with enthusiasm, there is the possibility of picking up an injury as you try to rid yourself of the excesses of the past year. With this in mind, the Life Fit Physiotherapy team in Grangemouth, Falkirk, has organised a Runfit event, a specialist training night on Wednesday, January 25, when runners can learn how to improve their technique. Gait analysis, and advice on how to stay injury free will also be available.
In addition to the Life Fit team, the Run Fit event will see specialist retailers Run and Become provide assistance on all aspects of footwear, clothing, and accessories. Run and Become will be offering a 10% discount on all purchases for Run Fit guests.
Expert medical advice will also be available, with experienced podiatrist Nikki Grant there to answer all gait and foot related questions, while Hugh Watson will be on hand to assist with all queries concerning biomechanics and physiology.
The Run Fit event will take place at the Life Fit Physiotherapy clinic at Beancross Road, Grangemouth, from 6-9pm on Wednesday, January 25. To help the evening run smoothly and to ensure everyone gets the advice they are after, the Life Fit team are asking prospective attendees to fill out a short form on their website.
