After launching a competition to find the best running views in the UK, personalised clothing retailer Banana Moon declared Scotland the winner. Photo competition entries ranged from dusky sunsets, to marathon achievements and running club selfies.
Duncan Nygongkai won with a photo of his club, Glasgow University Hare & Hounds, taken on a lochside run in the Trossachs, just outside of Glasgow. Banana Moon provided him with personalised T-shirts for everyone in his team for the Skye Half Marathon in June.
Duncan said: “I’ve been running for around three years now, which all started because I realised how unfit I was! I joined the running club quite quickly after taking up the sport and it eventually escalated to racing and I’ve now completed 36 events.
“The best thing about being in a running club is the motivation and support they give. Within my club, there are folks of mixed abilities, and it’s really great to see everyone’s progress. Even if you're a slow runner, when everyone in your team cheers for you as you approach the finishing line, it’s a really uplifting feeling.”
