There are plenty of running opportunities across Scotland during the festive period. Lace up your new runners and finish 2018 in style.
The Ayrodynamic Turkey Trot on Boxing Day is a great opportunity to burn off the Christmas dinner in what can be a bracing run along the Ayr seafront. The 10K usually attracts a high calibre field; in last year’s event Luke Traynor led a field of 300 home in a fast time of 29:58.
Other 26 December events include Nairn Turkey Trot, the Plum Pudding Plod in Forfar, Cruim Leacainn Hill Race, the Beercraigs Festive Handicap and the Cockleroy Chaser.
On both Christmas Day and New Year's Day many of Scotland's parkruns will be hosting extra events as well as full programmes tomorrow (23 December) and on Saturday 30 December. Check out if there is an extra festive event near you at the parkrun website.
See our Race Listing section for all races across the festive period and into 2018.
