Specialist running retailer, Run and Become, will be hosting an evening with Olympian and Scottish athlete of the year, Lynsey Sharp, at their Edinburgh store on Wednesday 28 November. The event will provide an opportunity to hear Lynsey talk informally about training and racing, her silver medal at this year's Helsinki European championships, Olympic selection and memories from the Games, Grand Prix racing, what she plans to do next, and a question and answer session.
The 22-year-old will be joined by John Whittaker (Edinburgh Triathletes) who worked as a training venue manager at the Olympics. His role involved co-ordinating warm-up and training facilities at three venues including the warm-up track at the Olympic Stadium, and interacting with many athletes from all over the world. Mags Turnbull of Lothian Running Club will also be on hand to discuss her role as one of the army of volunteer Games makers (The Purple People) who gave up their time to ensure the games ran smoothly.
Spaces are limited so you are advised to be quick and register right away. You can do so by visiting the Run and Become website or by calling in store at 20 Queensferry Street, Edinburgh.
