Entries are now open for this year's Round Arran Relay race on 19 July 2014. The race sees teams of six runners complete sections varying between 8 and 11 miles of the 56-mile course around the North Ayrshire island.
Billed as Scotland’s most picturesque team running event, places are limited and available on a first come first served basis.
Glasgow running club Kelvin Runners are the new organisers of the event and have launched a website and Facebook page where teams can find out further information, and register their interest.
Kelvin Runners’ Iain Cullen said: “The Round Arran Relay is a great summer day out combining team running for athletes of all abilities with the opportunity to see a beautiful part of Scotland. We look forward to maintaining and building on the reputation that this event has, and to welcoming those who have made this event part of their calendar year after year, as well as those who want to try it for the first time.”
