RoadBlock Run Returns To Edinburgh

RoadBlock Runners

Entries are now open for the 2014 RoadBlock Run as the 10K event returns to Edinburgh for a fifth year on 21 September. The obstacle-laden race, originally called Urbanathlon Scotland, requires entrants to manoeuvre their way around inflatable, lorries, and tunnels at Holyrood Park to raise funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

For a taste of what to expect, check out the Youtube video below.

The emphasis is squarely on having fun rather than achieving good times as participants, slide, climb, scramble, crawl and laugh their way through the course. There is a strong fancy dress element with runners in previous years dressing up as penguins, bears, ninjas and superheroes.

Organisers say: "We can guarantee the obstacles ensure this is a 10k you won't forget but they will leave you smiling and laughing too."

You can enter as an individual or as a team. For more information, visit the CHSS website.
