This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Polaroid Eyewear 10K series – the longest running road race series in the UK. As such, organisers are looking for a runner who has taken part in the series since its inception.
Organisers are keen to speak to anyone who has been involved in the series since the beginning, even if it only involved in taking part in one of the races each year.
Established in 1987 through collaboration between enthusiasts and members of local clubs, the series has become one of the most popular on the circuit and has witnessed around 1000 runners taking part in individual events.
The first race of the series, Helensburgh 10K, takes place on Thursday 12 May at 19:30. Following on from the Helensburgh race, the series continues to Clydebank on 19 May, Dumbarton on 26 May, and Vale of Leven on 5 June.
If you have taken part in the series since it began, please email Helen Connolly at Helen.Connolly@safilo.com. For more information and to enter the series, visit the event website.
