There is something for everyone at tomorrow's (Saturday 18 November) Glentress 21K Trail Half Marathon and 10K Night Trail Run. Runners will tackle some of the amazing trails that Glentress Forest has to offer including single track, open forest tracks and possibly a 'bit' of mud.
Situated between the small Borders towns of Peebles and Innerleithen, Glentress Forest is described as the 'Gateway to the Tweed Valley Forest Park'.
Perhaps more renowned for its mountain biking, Glentress also offers a superb array of forest trails, making it a fantastic location for trail running. The area features mile upon mile of waymarked trails including forest walks, woodland single-track and heather clad moorland.
There are two distances to choose from at the event. Starting with a 21k trail race on the morning this is followed by the 10K Night Trail Race in the evening. If you have energy to burn, why not take on the challenge of both distances? All routes will be fully marked so no navigation experience is necessary.
Finishers in both races will receive a commemorative medal, while those who complete the 21k will receive a tech T-shirt too. There will also be refreshments at finish, hydration and feed stations on the course.
