The very active jogscotland group in Peterhead will be giving spring a big welcome on Wednesday, March 30 when they celebrate the return of light nights with an evening fun run. The event is being organised in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and features 3, 6 and 10k distances. Registration takes place at Peterhead Football Club from 5.45 pm to 6.25pm. Entry is by donation only and all those taking part will receive a medal courtesy of Masson and Glennie Solicitors and Estate Agents in Peterhead who are sponsoring the event.
Stephen Bruce Peterhead Jogscotland told scottishrunningguide.com: "At the end of our 10 week block we always organise a charity fun run for our members, and anyone who wishes to take part.
"This time we will be supporting MacMillan Cancer Support, a charity that is highly respected locally and is also Peterhead FC's selected charity for the season. jogscotland Peterhead meet their every week at the football club to register, and they are very supportive of all we do.
"We always have an event in Peterhead after the clock's change as it is really nice to get a run in the daylight after a long dark winter. We welcome runners and joggers of all abilities and, although it is a fun run it is accurately measured and timed. The route for the event is out the Old Buchan Railway line.
"Everyone is assured of a warm welcome in the Blootoon so come along and support this charity."
