For anyone inspired to visit France by the UEFA Championships, Paris Marathon on 9 April 2017 presents a perfect opportunity to do so. Around 40,000 participants will head to the French capital for the race’s 41st anniversary.
Runners will line the famous Champs Elysées for the race start before going on a dazzling tour of the City of Light. The marathon takes in iconic landmarks including Place de la Concorde, Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower before finishing on Avenue Foch in view of the Arc de Triomphe.
Alex Osborne, who ran the race earlier this year as his first marathon, told runABC: “The race was amazing. It’s the most well organised, best supported event I’ve ever taken part in. I did the half marathon last year and decided I had to come back for the full one. I’ll definitely be going back in 2017 and have even convinced several of my friends to join me! I love Paris and would recommend the race to anyone.”
Sports Tours International is offering various travel packages for the race. For more information, visit their website.
