It's now less than a month until the new running event that's taking place across Scotland. One Big Weekend is a 'gathering of the clans', well the jogscotland clans! And it's taking place at a scenic location near you. Venues are the Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen; the North Inch, Perth; Royal Botanic Garden and Inverleith Park, Edinburgh; and Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. The Aberdeen and Perth gigs are on Sunday 3 August and the Edinburgh and Glasgow legs will be staged on Saturday 4 August.
Although organisers are anticipating a huge turnout of jogscotland regulars at One Big Weekend, the events are open to all. In fact, new runners or even long-time runners will get a great welcome at each of the four brilliant locations. There's certain to be a great atmosphere with jogscotland groups and non jogscotland members coming together. There is the opportunity to set a new 5k run target to help your personal development, or simply to run a distance that is well within the compass of someone who is even moderately fit. Beat your PB, mark a PB or just get round with friends for fun...it's time to take part and join the hundreds who have already signed up to be part of something BIG!
Expect some terrific goodies - each runner will receive a running belt - great for running with keys/cash/phone, accurate chip timing, 5k training plan, great medal, event goody bag, results posted on the website within 48 hrs and a fantastic running experience.
To confirm, this event is open to jogscotland and non jogscotland members. Visit the One Big Weekend website to find out more and to enter.
