Places for the 2017 Auchterarder Half Marathon were snapped up at a rapid rate and you’ll need to be quick off the mark to avoid missing out in 2018. Entries for the Perthshire Race held on Sunday 9 September 2018, open on Friday 2 March at 8pm.
Last year’s inaugural staging received excellent post-race reviews, with one of the main attractions of the event being the tie-in with the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel where the race starts and finishes. The race route make its way through Strathallan Estate passing Strathallan Castle so rural Scottish drama comes in spades as the route boasts a scenic course all the way mostly on pavements and roads.
It was PH Racing Club’s Roger Clark who triumphed in the inaugural men’s race with a time of 1:18:18 and his club mate Anne Hartmann was the first woman home, clocking 1:28:40.
All finishers will receive a goody bag, while every runner taking part will receive a quality technical t shirt and a bespoke Auchterarder Half Marathon medal.
2018 will also see the introduction of a new 10k event which will be held on Saturday 8 September 2018, the day before the half marathon.
Entries open Friday 2 March at 8pm via the Entry Central website.
