The Nairnshire Challenge has moved its date! The popular Nairnshire Challenge, organised by the Rotary Club of Nairn, has moved back to a May date.
The Challenge, now in its 19th year, is a biathlon over some of the most beautiful terrain in Scotland. From the most southerly point of Nairnshire to the magical coastal town of Nairn on the shores of the Moray Firth, the scenery is breathtaking.
But keep enough breath over for the 17 mile run/walk and 13 mile cycle! Intended as a good day out, it has also become the course dedicated athletes like to use as a personal challenge. That should not deter the more relaxed of you who would be looking for a good day out, going over countryside which is not usually open to the public.
The Challenge competitors have raised over £500,000 in sponsorship over the years, which has been distributed to local, national and international charities, from single applicants looking for a little financial assistance to helping to cure polio or sending help to victims of disasters.
Trios, doubles, singles, one event or relay entries are all welcome. The Early Bird discounted entry of £30 is available until 1 March.
