There’s still plenty of time to grow your own mo’, but time is running out to get your entries in for MoRunning’s Scottish events this Movember.
Now in 24 cities all over the UK and in its tenth year, MoRunning promises those taking part 'good fun, lots of laughs, loads of smiles, high fives' and, of course, loads of 'fancy dress and funny moustaches'.
MoRunning’s Scottish events take place over two weekends, with each location hosting 5K, 10K and 1.5K Mini MoRun races.
The first MoRunning event north of the border will take place in Aberdeen’s Hazlehead Park on Saturday, 2 November, with entries closing next Sunday, 27 October. The following day (Sunday, 3 November) will see MoRunners gather at North Inch Golf Course in Perth, with entries closing on Tuesday, 29 October.
The second and final weekend of Scotland’s MoRunning season will see runners of all ages going with the mo’ in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park (Saturday, 9 November) and Glasgow Green (Sunday, 10 November).
Entries for both these events close on Tuesday, 5 November.
MoRunning proudly supports the Movember Foundation: the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. The Foundation raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Their goal is simple: ‘to stop men dying too young’.
MoRunners – who organisers say should see themselves as 'part of a community, a family, a team' – can help support the charity when registering by making a donation or setting up a fundraising page in their own time.
“When you step up to that start line, remember that you're helping men live longer, healthier lives. Run hard, run fast, have fun and enjoy being part of something special.”
