The Run Mhor Hidden Glen 10K takes place this Saturday (16 September) in the spectacular Monachyle Glen. A brand new event for 2017, the race follows on from the great success of Run Mhor at Mhor 84 in 2016.
Starting at Monachyle Mhor Hotel, the out-and-back route initially follows the road alongside Loch Doine before returning to the hotel and heading deep into the Hidden Glen along rough trail tracks. The route follows Monachlye Burn as it winds its way through the glen.
Reaching the turning point and high point of the route approximately two thirds of the way into it, the downhill return to the hotel offers beautiful sweeping views of the glen, Loch Doine and Loch Voil. The terrain is a mix of tarmac roads, grass farm roads and rough trail tracks.
Alongside the 10k, there will also be a 1K fun run which will begin and end at the Monachyle Hotel.
All participants in both the 10k and fun run will receive a medal, while those in the 10K will also get a technical event T-shirt and a post-race pint of Mhor 84 lager (over 18s only) or a soft drink.
Places at this event are now sold out, to join the event waiting list and for more information visit the event website.
