Saturday 11 February will see Maurice Donohue run his 200th 10k in 200 consecutive days as part of his 365 Day 10K Challenge. 10,000m 1970 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lachie Stewart will be starting the run, which will be marked out around Balloch Country Park in West Dunbartonshire.
There is an open invite for anyone who wants to join in. The run will follow the same route as the Balloch Run 'n' Park 5K, with the option to run one lap or two.
Maurice told runABC Scotland: “Hopefully the weather will be kind to us on the day. If you are in training for a specific event, such as a half or full marathon, why not come along? It must be stressed this is not a race, but merely a training run for community companionship and to help with your training in the beautiful surroundings of Balloch Country Park.”
