The runner who tragically died after completing Sunday’s Virgin Money London Marathon has now raised over £70,000 for charity after a rush of donations to his fundraising page. Robert Berry was running in aid of the National Osteoporosis Society after being inspired by his mother who has the condition.
The 42 year old’s original target had been £1700. The charity has said they will discuss with Mr Berry’s family options over how they will use the funds in his memory. To donate, visit http://www.justgiving.com/Rob-Berry-uk
