One of the UK’s largest obstacle course race series – The Royal British Legion Major Series – returns to Scotland next month. Participants will head to Cardoss Estate, Stirlingshire to take on 30 different obstacles at the event on 4 June.
Now in its eighth season, The Royal British Legion Major Series will welcome participants of all abilities to take on the Major’s famous obstacles over a 5k and 10k course. Obstacles include mud crawls, cargo nets and a vanishing bridge, as well as brand new obstacles for 2016 including a giant MOMA porridge pot and a burning building. Participants needn’t fear though, as over 40 of the Major’s finest troops will be on hand throughout the course to help and encourage the runners.
The Royal British Legion is the official charity partner for The Major Series, and the Scotland event will see many participants taking part to raise money for the charity. With the Legion aiming to raise £250,000 in 2016, The Royal British Legion Major Series will be helping the charity to continue providing vital support to former and currently serving military personnel and their families.
