Lynn Henderson completed a busy week of racing when collecting first prize at Sunday's Angus HaM (15 April). The Forfar Roadrunner stopped her watch on 1:31:26 – seventh overall – eight minutes ahead of Kirsty Mitchell with Sarah Ward a close-up third.
Henderson had warmed up for the half marathon with a trip to the Netherlands the previous weekend and a respectable time of 3:18:54 at Rotterdam Marathon.
The men's race was also clear cut - Niku Dhillon (1:21:41) finishing ahead of Michael Loudon (1:27:09) and Alex Clink (1:28:13). Dhillon impressed spectators with a bold front running performance.
Mid-point runner Sarah Norrie was timed at 1:56:42 and the field closed on 3:31:56.
Runners reported a testing hilly course and many were pleased to grab a sugar rush courtesy of fund-raiser Fiona Edwards, who is close to adding another £2,000 to her contributions to Breast Cancer Research at Ninewells via her tablet sales.
Feedback post-race was good with Loraine Abbot saying: "Great event and scenic route, lovely marshals."
