More than 320 runners took part in the 31st Team Strides Lochaber Marathon on Sunday (6 April). Participants were met with wet and windy conditions at the Highland event.
The route took runners alongside Loch Eil with views of Ben Nevis in the second half of the race. The men's event was won by Roger Van Gompel of Dundee Hawkhill Harriers with ulta runner and adventurer Dr Andrew Murray in second (2:42:30). Donna Finlayson finished as fastest female in 3:11:32, and Paul Foster was the midpoint runner, clocking 3:51:37.
Andrew said after the race on Twitter: "Heroic marshalling and spectators at Lochaber Marathon in nasty weather Respect to all finishers. Happy with 2nd today in 2-42 #wetshoes"
