There’s only 50 days left until the sixth Glenlivet 10K on 12 April, with a record entry field expected for the race. Based at the iconic Glenlivet Distillery in the Cairngorms National Park, the event is billed as ‘the most beautiful run in Scotland’.
There's an added incentive to take part with every runner receiving a Glenlivet miniature dram after the race. Last year’s event saw 561 take part. The 10k follows quiet country roads, meandering around the sublime River Livet, passing ancient castles and providing amazing views of the secret glen. All proceeds for the event go to the charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).
A past participant said of the event: “Tough course but excellent views and the climbing is done by 4k. Good facilities at the distillery, nice atmosphere and family friendly (though I am sure the superb weather added to everyone's fun).”
CHSS encourage runners of all abilities: “We welcome everyone to take part in this simply fantastic running event set in the sublime and picturesque landscape of Glenlivet. Runners and joggers of all levels are very welcome and by taking part you are directly supporting those affected by chest, heart and stroke illness. Come and feel the spirit of the glen…”
