Colour-In Time For Leith School

Leith schoolPupils from Leith Primary School have seen a little more colour in their lives thanks to Run or Dye. The colour-infused 5k series chose the school as one of four recipients for the Run or Dye Say Thank You With Colour initiative.

The initiative celebrates all the great work societies, charities, schools and clubs do around the UK. Run or Dye wanted to bring some of their trademark vivid array of colours to places which need it most, whether it was a mural painted in a playground, bright new uniforms or simply a few paint brushes and pots of paint to give a room a new lick of paint.

Areas of Leith Primary School playground were repainted bringing much-needed colour to the space. Fencing around the playground was repainted by local firm David Borthwick & Son.

Leith residents will have the opportunity to take part in the colourful 5k at Hopetoun House in Edinburgh on Sunday 18 October.

Dan Lipman, marketing director at Run or Dye, says: “We’re delighted to be able to give a little something back to all the great causes around the UK which help others. These are groups which are generously helping their local communities, fulfilling the same Run or Dye core message of how spreading colour and kindness can improve lives.”
