For all those sitting on the fence or deliberating over making that decisive step to a spring competition, organisers of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival have announced a final call for the 10k, 5k, Junior Races and Hairy Haggis Marathon Relay events.
Organised over the weekend of May 26 & 27, the festival looks set to attract over 25,000 runners from across the globe. At the point of issuing the final rallying call on Tuesday (May 1), there were 38 places left in the relay event, 98 in the 10k, 73 in the 5k, 107 for the Junior Races and 44 for the wheelchair competition.
Entries for the marathon and half marathon events are now closed and organisers are expecting the remaining races to be full before the deadline on Wednesday, May 16. Participants will receive a wicking t-shirt once they cross the line, a commemorative race certificate, finishers goody bag and a medal.
