Kyles 10 Miles will return to the Ardlamont peninsula for its eighth year on 9 September. Those who sign up to the run before 1 February will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 in vouchers to spend on Argyll’s Secret Coast.
The Secret Coast, which is covered in the route, is a little known area of natural beauty on the west coast of Scotland, giving runners breathtaking views of the Mull of Kintyre and Arran. The first five miles of the race are hilly and challenging but the course flattens out for its second half of the race. The 400 runner and 100 walker places are expected to be in high demand with the event selling out last year.
Registration will be at Kames Hall which will also host a market with local produce, crafts and home baking available. Following the race, there will be a ceilidh in Kames Hall. Tickets include a mid-evening buffet and raffle tickets will be available for sale during the evening for some fantastic prizes. The ceilidh has been described as ‘stompingly good’.
