The Killin 10K (sponsored by Portnellan) returns for its sixth year on Saturday 27 August 2016 at 12pm. The event takes place in the picturesque village of Killin, Perthshire and is open to runners aged 15 years and older.
The initial closed road part of the route takes runners over the spectacular River Dochart Bridge and down Main Street before heading out of the village. The middle 6km takes in a beautiful and slightly undulating loop around Glen Lochay before returning to the village and finishing in Breadalbane Park with the backdrop of the Tarmachan mountain range. The first and last 2km are slightly downhill or flat.
Starting just after the Killin 10K event, there will be a 1km fun run. The run will start and finish at the same points as the 10K event, ensuring there is plenty of atmosphere and fun for all participants.
All finishers in the 10K and fun run events will earn a medal and refreshments. The 2014 and 2015 events were SOLD OUT, so sign up quickly to ensure you don't miss out this year.
The 10K event is chip timed and results will be available immediately after you finish. For more information visit the event website or email firstname.lastname@example.org
