If you want to guarantee your place in the 2019 Jedburgh Running Festival, be sure to sign up now. Official closing date for entries is Wednesday 23 October but entries close earlier if the race limit is reached and they’ve been brisk so far for the various events.
The Borders’ town plays host to one of Scotland’s favourite running festivals each year in October (this year on 26th/27th) and there are a range of events including 10K, Half Marathon, Ultra and Relay not to mention wheelchair, hand cycle and canicross options.
The race route showcases the historic and picturesque town in all its glory taking in, amongst others, the Abbey, Crailing Church, Bonjedward and Queen Mary’s house and organisers have thought of everything to give runners the best race day experience.
There are four water stations along the route, at approximately 3 miles, 6 miles, 8 miles and 10 miles and there are female, male, and non binary changing and showering facilities in the Jed Thistle Pavilion (off Lothian Car Park). On that note, the car parks fill up early and have limited spaces so look to car share or park outside of the village if you’re not getting along early.
