Inverness parkrun got off to a very respectable start with 45 finishers in the first event in the Highland capital. Tom McWilliam (19:06) of Inverness Harriers held off club-mate Tim Cooke to take first place while Ann Smart was fastest woman in 22:45. Dave Robson was the mid-point runner in 27:04 and the field closed on 39:25.
Volunteers Averil and Dougie Lamont, Charles Jarvie, Paul Crowe and Tim Cooke made sure everything ran smoothly at Bught Park and Inverness parkrunners are already looking forward to next week's event.
Parkrun is the weekly free 5K timed event held on Saturday mornings - 9.30am start at the five Scottish events. Inverness parkrun is a barcode only event but you can sign up easily online at the parkrun website.
