Former Scotland and British Lions rugby player, Scott Hastings, will head up the charge around Arthur's Seat this Sunday (15 September) as he joins runners, joggers & walkers for MND Scotland's 5k Fun Run & Sponsored Walk in Edinburgh's Holyrood Park. The event celebrates its third birthday this year and welcomes novice and seasoned runners alike.
Participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress at the event with the emphasis in 'fun run' being very much on the fun (evidenced by the fact the event is untimed). After making their way to the top of Arthur's Seat, participants will be rewarded with gorgeous views of the Scottish capital on the descent.
Hastings has been a patron of MND for a number of years, after losing both his mother-in-law and a close friend to the disease. MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care, support & information for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease. For more information visit the MND website.
Entry for the fun run is £10. You can enter online here.
