There's less than four weeks until the second annual HamilTEN 10K but still time to enter. The 2019 event will take place on Saturday 21 September, and Hamilton is preparing to build on the success of the inaugural event in 2018.
With the backing of local businesses, South Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture, everyone is working towards delivering a fantastic event and showcasing the town in all its glory.
Gareth Walker, manager of Hamilton Business Improvement District is looking for a bigger and better event in 2019. Gareth told runABC Scotland: "2018 was fantastic and we were happy with more than 730 entrants but we're sure that 2019 will build on what was a really strong foundation. We've had a few tweaks to the route so we can use wider footpaths and host bigger numbers."
There'll be a serious element to the racing up front and the course, which is fast and flat, perfect for a PB, has been certified by Scottish Athletics. Organisers are keen to stress, however, that runners (and indeed walkers) of all abilities are welcome and they actively encourage runners to support good causes.
At only £15, HamilTEN 10K offers great value for money so secure your place and mark the date in your diary .
